Stanley 1.0 — Kodiak Projects, Brisbane and Noosa
Stanley 1.0 is the home that started the Stanley series — an ultra-modern new build in Camp Hill with a striking palette, sleek lines and a rooftop terrace that captures the Brisbane city skyline. Built as a true builder-led design collaboration with MR Building Design, budget and buildability were part of the conversation from day one. Years on, it still looks as sharp as the day we handed it over.
From the very start of the design phase, we worked alongside MR Building Design and the clients to shape the home around what was buildable and what it should cost — before anything was locked in. These weren't cost-driven clients; they wanted a home they'd be proud of every time they drove past. That's exactly what we set out to deliver.
Camp Hill sits high above Brisbane, and the whole home was built around capturing that outlook — culminating in a rooftop terrace engineered for the climate, with proper waterproofing, drainage, and automatic pumps and pits to protect the home through storms. On a busy road, we upgraded the glazing, insulation and solid doors and planned the wet areas to buffer road noise — so inside it stays calm, and getting in and out stays easy.
The plan runs four bedrooms and three bathrooms plus a powder room — each wet area finished with its own concrete basin in a different colour, so no two spaces feel the same. A generous fourth bedroom works as a teenager's or guest retreat, with its own balcony, ensuite and robe, set apart from the master. Structurally it's a home of steel — large window sets, high ceilings and voided spaces held by portal frames.

External facade in rendered Greenboard. Burnished concrete runs the ground-floor living areas, with plush carpet to the bedrooms and floating Tasmanian oak on the stair treads. A pool with full glass fencing and black floor-mounted spigots, and a single travertine-grey tile carried straight through the porch, alfresco, courtyard, rooftop, balcony and pool surrounds. Clipsal Iconic throughout, hidden LED strip lighting, brushed brass in the master suite and black tapware elsewhere.

At open homes, buyers and agents alike called out the quality, design and finish. Stanley 1.0 set the design language that flowed into Stanley 2.0 — and we're now three projects deep into an ongoing relationship. When clients come back and bring more work with them, that's the real result.
